This type can be applied for one year for vehicles imported from third countries (non-EU) if they have passed a technical inspection at the National Transport Authority or have had a foreign inspection certified.
When the vehicle is registered for origin verification, it provides temporary circulation permission and can only be used domestically.

An I license plate can only be issued once for a vehicle.
The foreign authority's permit and registration of the vehicle must be submitted.
It can be used within the territory of the EEA countries.
The original or authenticated copy of the document proving the acquisition of the vehicle's ownership must be submitted, and if it was issued in a language other than Hungarian, its authenticated translation into Hungarian must also be provided.
A technical data sheet valid for at least 6 months, issued by the National Transport Authority of Hungary.
